About the event
This August, Island Gig Rowing Club will be joining the Wight Games Festival by hosting a gig rowing regatta.
The event will include a mix of racing, giving crews the chance to compete and showcase the teamwork and skill involved in gig rowing. There will also be an opportunity for members of the local community to get involved with a relaxed “have-a-go” session.
No experience is necessary; anyone interested is welcome to come along, meet the crew, and enjoy some time out on the water in a friendly and supportive environment. It’s a great chance to try something new and experience gig rowing first-hand.
